In 2018, I took a trip with my family to Glacier National Park in Montana. Because I did not have a blog at the time of the journey, I am just now getting around to sharing some of my favorite images. This hike feels like ages ago, and while it was on an entirely different camera system, the memories made there will last forever.

The Grinnell Glacier hike offers something for everyone in your group, glaciers, forest, lakes, waterfalls, and wildlife. The hike is over 10 miles (10.6 to be exact) out and back and has an elevation gain of 1,600 feet.

It is considered a challenging route.

Allow anywhere from five to seven hours to complete the hike. You may want to let your group know the details ahead of time so everyone in your party can budget their time and itineraries accordingly. We started our hike from the Grinnell Glacier Trailhead. Although it was a strenuous, all-day activity, the views standing on the shore of the glacial lake made the journey rewarding!

Grinnell Glacier is a must-see during your trip to Glacier National Park!
