Meet Catherine

I’m a Dallas-based travel blogger obsessed with photography and have a travel bucket list that’s a mile long. I’m on a mission to take as many PTO-friendly vacations as possible while inspiring you to do the same. It’s possible to work full-time and travel often. Let me show you how!

Hello, my friend!

I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Catherine—a Dallas-based travel blogger with a camera in one hand and a mile-long bucket list in the other. I’m all about turning weekends and PTO days into epic U.S. getaways—and I’m here to cheer you on as you do the same!

For years, I thought the only way to travel was to take a whole week off once or twice a year. I’d plan one big trip, count down the days, and hope it lived up to the wait. But in February 2020, everything changed. While on one of those long-anticipated vacations, I found myself in a hotel room watching the world shut down. In that moment, it hit me—travel isn’t guaranteed. And I hadn’t even come close to seeing all the places I’d dreamed of.

That was the wake-up call I didn’t know I needed. I realized I didn’t want to wait for “someday” anymore. So I started planning more weekend getaways and taking full advantage of every PTO day. I discovered that even a short trip can feel like a real adventure—and that there’s so much to see right here in the U.S., from charming coastal towns to national parks to buzzing city escapes.

Two years later, I launched this blog, and I haven’t looked back since. These days, you’ll find me spending my weekends exploring new places and squeezing every bit of adventure out of short trips. From cruising along the California coast to soaking up the sun in the Florida Keys or hiking through Colorado’s mountains, I share travel guides, photos, and practical tips to help you make the most of your time off.

Weekend travel has become my favorite way to explore more often without pressing pause on everyday life—and I’m here to help you make it happen, too.
