I’m so glad you’re here.

I am a native Texan with a passion for weekend travel. I document my adventures by sharing travel guides, photographs, and tips to inspire you to seek more adventure and travel experiences.

My idea for weekend trips started in 2020. About every six months, I would take a week off, only visiting one to two new places each year. Then, in February 2020, my entire travel perspective changed.

During my annual vacation, I learned of the outbreaks going on in the world. It was then that I realized I could miss out on experiences around the world. There I was in my hotel room on my one trip a year filled with emotion that traveling could be taken away forever and I hadn’t even scratched the surface of all the destinations I hoped to visit someday. Travel was something I did not want to take for granted ever again!

I re-evaluated my priorities and recognized that travel was more important than ever, and ultimately, I realized I wanted more experiences, even for a short period. Taking weeks off at a time can sometimes be difficult but taking shorter trips allows you to be present for your weekly responsibilities and have epic getaways.

So, two years after that travel realization, my blog was born. Now, I pursue weekend getaways as often as possible, which enables me to see more places than ever before. My blog serves as a reminder that you don’t have to spend weeks backpacking abroad to create unforgettable travel memories.
