Staying at The Ray Hotel in Delray Beach, Florida was a dream. My favorite pastime is landing in a new city and checking into a new-to-me hotel where I have never stayed before. Within seconds of walking through the lobby of The Ray Hotel, I instantly felt like I found a home away from home property.
It is one of those hotels that you’ll never want to check out of!

An absolutely fantastic home away from home!
Waking up and walking out to the sunlit balcony (in my film camera-covered pajamas), overlooking the courtyard with colorful views of the Delay Beach shops and palm trees, was a morning routine that I could get used to!
Staying at The Ray Hotel in Delray Beach was one of my most relaxing hotel experiences to date!
Dining at the Ray Hotel
There were so many great restaurants nearby that I ran out of time and didn’t get a chance to eat at the hotel. On my next visit, I will have to check out one of their many great options:
- Akira Back – A modern Japanese restaurant
- Rosewater Rooftop – Rooftop/pool bar with 360-degree views of downtown
- Ember Grill – Reimagined classics from land and sea
- Stingers – Artisan coffee creations
- Lobby Bar – When you want to sit and enjoy a beverage
Dining Nearby
I could only make it to a few restaurants nearby before I left. If you can eat close to the hotel, you have to try El Camino. The Delray Beach location is one of three (soon to be four) in South Florida. My favorite aspect about El Camino was that they make everything in-house, from salsas to tortillas.
If you do go, you have to try the Smoked Brisket Nachos. The stack of nachos may have been as tall as I was seated in the booth, which is not an exaggeration!
You will not be disappointed!
Amenities and Activities at the Ray Hotel
The hotel has an amazing rooftop deck with a pool, lounge, and restaurant. Their fitness center also offers fitness classes such as yoga on the rooftop. The Ray Hotel ensures you have everything you need to get to the beach, with rentals available for beach bikes, beach loungers, golf carts, paddle boards, and surfboards.
You may know by now that I am obsessed with weekend getaways. It’s what allowed me to go from one big trip a year to multiple short getaways in the same time frame.
Who said epic trips have to be long?
Spending a weekend at The Ray Hotel in Delray Beach, Florida, was incredible. From the downtown views from the balcony to the fun amenities like the rooftop deck, it was everything I hoped for in a hotel stay and more!
